Brickies

Brickies is an arcade game that, while based on the well-known Arkanoid, manages to give it an interesting twist to present quite an original game. How? Easy. Instead of moving only one bar at the bottom of the screen, you move TWO bars: one at the top and the other at the bottom, in order to break the blocks located in the middle.

Another major difference between Brickies and Arkanoid is that if you miss the ball, you don't lose a life. Instead, the ball continues to bounce but without the strength to break any blocks. This can be a problem because in each level, you have a certain time limit. If there are any blocks remaining when the time's up, you lose.

Each level offers a different number and type of blocks. Some of them are bigger, others more durable, others have special properties. Also you'll find lots of power-ups that let you throw fireballs, multiple balls, etc.

Brickies is an original and fun arcade game that not only offers a great gaming experience, but also surprises. This at a time when it's increasingly difficult for games to surprise us.
